Academic Achievements: I graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from ABCD University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan, in March 2022, securing a CGPA of 3.86/4.00. My active participation in both curricular and extracurricular activities distinguished me as an engaged student, earning me a place in the top 1% of my class of 120 students. My academic journey has been marked by consistent excellence, as evidenced by my high-ranking performance in all institutional entrance examinations, where I achieved 4th place district-wide.
For my final year thesis, I led a team of five in the “Design, development, and fabrication of under/over voltage relay using static devices.” This project not only honed my skills in automated control and protection systems but also ignited my passion for graduate studies and research in power system automation.
Professional Experience: Currently, I serve as a Maintenance Engineer at Dawlance Group of Companies, Pakistan’s leading household appliances manufacturer. My role encompasses the maintenance and automation of the company’s power systems and machinery, resource management, and the execution of both routine and emergency maintenance protocols. My tenure at Dawlance has been enriched by hands-on experience in electrical automation engineering, where I’ve implemented practical solutions in the manufacturing process and gained in-depth knowledge of automation devices.
Leading the “Energy saving by the optimization of electric motor usage” project, I achieved an annual saving of 1.2 Million PKR through efficiency analysis and motor optimization, further securing a USAID OFFER through strategic negotiations.
My fervor for power system automation led to a 16-week internship at National Transmission & Dispatch Company, Pakistan’s premier electric power transmission entity. There, I acquired substantial expertise in Grid System Operations, Protection and Instrumentation, SCADA, and Metering and Testing. Additionally, I delved into transmission system planning, mastering Power Flow Studies, Reactive Power Compensation, and the Stability Analysis of distributed generation within the transmission network. My contributions were recognized with a certificate of appreciation from the senior management.
Personal Qualities: As a person, I am sociable, approachable, and an effective communicator, fortunate to be surrounded by a diverse circle of friends. My optimistic outlook and proactive nature have always driven me to assist others with sincerity and commitment. I relish the opportunity to interact with individuals from various cultures, finding such exchanges enriching and instrumental for adapting to different environments, whether at home or abroad.
Study Plan in China: My aspiration to pursue a Master’s Degree in Electrical Power System and its Automation in China is fueled by my industrial experience, past internships, and my final year project, which unveiled the extensive practical applications of automation engineering. This revelation has sparked an intense desire to deepen my knowledge in this field. My ambition is to engage in the international Electrical Engineering arena, where I can contribute to pioneering projects. During my academic tenure, I intend to leverage my innate abilities to excel and collaborate with professors and peers in research, delving into the vast industrial applications of power system automation. Upon completing my master’s, my goal is to contribute significantly to my country’s technological research, thereby bolstering its economy and elevating the quality of life for my fellow citizens. I am confident that this program will immerse me in electrical systems and closely align me with the industry, which epitomizes the pinnacle of Electrical and Automation Engineering. I anticipate that this experience will enrich my ability to navigate diverse situations, people, systems, and demands, which will be invaluable in my professional journey.
