Study in China from Francophone Africa: Application and Visa Guide

French-speaking education systems use different diploma names, grading scales and issuing authorities. Send the university the exact qualification name and ask what original, transcript, translation and certification it requires for the chosen level.

Do not translate or authenticate every document before confirming the current call. A university may accept a French original with a certified translation, request another form of verification or use a different process for provisional documents.

The university decides admission, while a scholarship can be handled by a national nominating authority, Chinese embassy or host institution. The current country call identifies the route, eligible applicants, deadline and agency information.

The Campus China guide explains the application system but does not provide one universal agency number or deadline. Applicants in different Francophone countries must use the notice issued for their own route.

Chinese embassy and visa-center procedures are country-specific. A French-language embassy page can be a useful model for understanding categories, but it cannot replace the newest instructions for the country where the applicant submits.

Long-term students then follow the host university and local exit-entry authority for residence formalities in China. Keep admission and study originals, monitor expiry dates and complete the process within the official timeframe that applies after entry.
